Kyuka Ventures

Kyuka Ventures is a Ugandan social enterprise that transforms plastic waste into clean cooking fuel (LPG) using its patented Soot-Free Reactive Extraction Technology (SFRET). This innovation addresses both plastic pollution and energy poverty by converting 92% of unsorted plastic waste into ultra-low sulfur fuel. The enterprise operates a pay-as-you-cook model, making LPG affordable for low-income households, and partners with local communities to collect waste and provide micro health insurance through its "Waste Insure" program. Kyuka Ventures aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create green jobs, and promote sustainable energy solutions in Uganda.
