It offers a multi-currency digital wallet designed to simplify money transfers, payments, and currency exchange for individuals and businesses, focusing on cross-border transactions across Africa. Eversend enables users to send and receive money instantly within and across multiple African countries at low fees. Users can hold and manage multiple currencies, facilitating easy currency switching and avoiding high exchange fees. The platform allows users to pay utility bills, buy airtime, and complete other transactions directly from the app. Eversend offers real-time currency exchange rates, allowing quick and competitive currency conversions. Businesses can accept cryptocurrency as a payment method, with the platform enabling holding, payout, collection, and conversion between fiat and cryptocurrencies.
Since its public launch in 2019, Eversend has processed over230 million in
transactions, growing from $800,000 in 2019. The platform boasts over 350,000 users and has expanded its operations to countries including Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Ghana. Recognized for its innovation, Eversend was selected for the Google Launchpad Africa Accelerator and has received support from the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund.
